Where can I park and what time does it open for events?
There is a car parking lot located across the street from our venue on the north side. Typically it opens one hour prior to any Door Time stated on your ticket. Parking rates may vary according to the event and date, but generally is $20 per vehicle. **CASH ONLY**

I thought the show was General Admission – why does my ticket have a Row and Seat Number when it is printed?
General Admission at Sound Academy refers to the standing areas that are not assigned or reserved, and are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis. When purchasing tickets for a General Admission event, you may be quoted section, row, and seat numbers, however these are for inventory purposes only and do not reflect any actual seating location. Please ensure you carefully read the Event Information and Ticket Information screens when purchasing tickets. Sound Academy does NOT have assigned seating.
I’m coming with a guest with special needs – is Sound Academy wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our entire venue is Wheelchair accessible. Our venue will also make special accommodations for any guests with medical needs. Each person attending the event will need to purchase a ticket prior to making arrangements. Please call our Receptionist in advance to make these arrangements. Main Office PH: 416-469-5655.
What is the difference between a 19+ show and an All Ages show?
All Ages shows permit entrance to any ticket holder. Anyone wishing to consume alcohol will need to provide VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED identification as proof of age of majority. Ontario’s legal drinking age is 19.
A 19+ show will ONLY allow admittance to those who are over 19 years of age as of the day of the show and must prove it with VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED identification.
NOTE: If you buy a ticket for a 19+ show, and cannot prove that you are over the age of majority you will NOT be admitted into the show.
What’s your Camera Policy?
Camera Policy is at the discretion of the Artist’s request and may change for any show.
Our standard camera policy for each event is: No professional cameras (cameras with detachable lens) and no audio/video recording. No Go-Pros or Selfie-Sticks.
Where do I find Set Times?
We try our best to make set times available for our shows through our Twitter and Facebook pages, but Artist’s may change the schedule at a moment’s notice, and we unfortunately cannot be held responsible for any incorrect or outdated information provided.
We suggest that you arrive to the venue shortly after the door time or before the show time listed on your ticket, to avoid disappointment.
How early can I line up for an event?
The venue does not have any restrictions on lining up early for our events. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to wait patiently outside of the venue. We cannot open our doors earlier than the time listed on the ticket, unless advised by the events promoter. We would ask you to please be respectful of the other businesses in the area, others also choosing to wait in line and obey all instructions from our security staff.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
If a show is marked “Sold Out” the chances are, no. If a show is not sold out, tickets will be available once doors open the night of the show. Tickets are subject to availability/ capacity. **Cash Only**
Where can I buy tickets?
There is generally a link from our website concert listings to where you can buy tickets for any particular show.
Tickets for most Sound Academy shows are available through all TicketMaster outlets.

Do you have a Box Office?
Unfortunately, we do not have a Box Office to purchase tickets before the show or for future events at Sound Academy.
WILL CALL and ticket sales at the door are available at the Door Time listed on our event page or ticket for any performance.
We recommend that all tickets purchased through TicketMaster that need to be picked up, are picked up at least one day prior to the show at your nearest Ticketmaster Retail Location.
Do you have WILL CALL?
For some events, the tickets purchased online are only available through WILL CALL pick up. WILL CALL is set up by the promoters of the show and will open once doors open on the night of the show- unless stated. Please bring your ticket confirmation number as well as photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets.
I bought my Tickets through the Artist’s web site (such as Into the Vault, Crowd Surge Etc.) Where do I pick up my tickets and what do I need to bring with me?
These tickets will be available at WILL CALL once doors open the night of the show – no earlier than the night of the performance – unless stated. Please bring your ticket confirmation / order number as well as photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets.
If you have any questions about you purchase, please contact where you bought the tickets or packages from. Sound Academy is not privileged to that information.
I’m thinking of buying tickets from Stub Hub, Kijiji, Craigslist etc. How do I know they’re real and why are the prices different?
Buying tickets from these sites mean you are buying from a third party. The prices are set by sellers and may differ from face value. Tickets can only be verified as valid at the door the night of the event when they are scanned, there is no way of verifying ahead of time. Sound Academy / Polson Pier or the Event Promoter is not responsible for counterfeit tickets that have been purchased.
Re-Entry / Where Can I smoke?
There is no Re-Entry Policy once you enter the venue. Sound Academy is a smoke free facility. For those wishing to smoke, there is a patio located on the south side of the venue.
Can I bring food to the event?
No. Outside food and / or beverages are strictly prohibited at Sound Academy.
All guests attending an event at Sound Academy will be subject to a search. This may include, but not limited to a bag search and / or a pat down.
Do you offer Coat / Bag Check?
Yes – standard rates are $ 3 per piece checked item. If the weather is scheduled to be less than 10 degrees Celsius, it will be available. Please do not check valuables at coat check as we cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items. You MUST have your coat check ticket to retrieve your item(s) at the end of the event.
The Contest Page won’t let me enter the contest even though I’m already an Honour Roll member. Help!

Do you accept US Currency?
We accept US currency. However, we do not accept US $50 or $ 100 bills. We accept US at par (no exchange rate presently).
